Anthony Law Settles Construction Defect Lawsuit for $125,000

Jay Anthony resolved a lawsuit based on construction defects in a single-family residence for $125,000.  The lawsuit stemmed from a homeowner who purchased a home in Greenville County which had been “flipped” by prior owners.  Soon after moving in, the homeowner began experiencing a variety of issues including plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and structural problems.  Jay filed suit for the homeowner and engaged multiple experts to evaluate the varied defects and a builder to prepare an estimate for the damage.  He also obtained testimony from various witnesses which proved critical.  The settlement was reached at mediation.
